July 2008: Ted Lebedoff of Sheraton Wall Centre Hotel

My wife Wendy and I were recent guests at the Sheraton Wall Centre Hotel and the extraordinary efforts of Ted at your bell desk and others on your staff prevented our teip to Western Canada from becoming a nightmare.

We arrived on Tuesday June 24th and on Wednesday evening dined at Coast Restaurant in Yaletown. The following morning only an hour so before we were to board the Rocky Mountaineer for our excursion through BC and Alberta, I realized I had left a small shoulder bag with my passport and other personal effects at the restaurant.

I was obviously upset and considered abandoning the train excursion. However, when I went to the bell desk, Ted who was on duty assured me that he and his colleagues would deal with the problem. And I decided to proceed with our trip despite some hesitations.

Ted and your staff came through for us! The following day Ted was not scheduled to work, but on his own time he went to Coast Restaurant, retrieved the shoulder bag and my documents, and brought it to the Sheraton Wall Centre. Lucia arranged for the bag to be sent via Fed-Ex to our hotel in Calgary.

They contacted me via cell phone with the tracking number and contacted the Calgary Marriott to expect the package. The bag arrived on Monday June 30th and we were able to return to the U.S. on Tuesday as planned. Thanks to your conscientious staff our visit to Western Canada was not spoiled.

Throughout our 2 day stay at the Sheraton Wall Centre we found your staff to be unusually responsive to our requests and as a retired TV news executive who logged many more stays at more hotels than I care to remember, our experience at your hotel will be memorable. We have already recommended the Sheraton Wall Centre to friends who are planning a trip to Vancouver this summer and will do so to others heading to Western Canada.

Again, my wife and I want to thank Ted and everyone at the Sheraton Wall Centre.
