October 2008: Alf Lillie of Vancouver Trolley Company
On a one day stopover in Vancouver from England, we wanted to catch the trolley at Stop Eleven. We saw a parked and empty trolley between Bute and Jervis on Robson and waited beside it. Alf saw us and told us we were not in the right place and that the proper trolley had just passed us. He then drove us in his trolley, radioing the other to go slowly so he could catch up and transfer us. Outstanding kindness and he said he “was just doing his job!”
