December 2005: Macelinda Damayo of Four Seasons Hotel
I had to e-mail you today to say that my stay was over the top, first class all the way. Most mornings I enjoyed breakfast in your dining room and the server was a cheerful and delightful young lady that could start anyone’s day off in the right direction. You may not have heard but on Thursday night, I lost my voice completely. The front desk called me to let me know that I had a package to be sent up or picked up. When the young lady on the front desk heard my voice she immediately took it upon herself to send up a tray with tea, honey, apple, Halls, and a plush teddy “Dr. Teddy Bear” complete with a stethoscope. This was unbelievably thoughtful and comforting.
This wasn’t the end. When the evening Room Attendant came to turn down the bed and saw my state, she offered to order dinner for me through room service, which was also great. She also placed a wakeup call for me because I had an early flight home the next morning. Then, unbelievably, she returned on her own a little later with some slices of ginger for my throat and told me to take them like candy, which, indeed, did help.
I guess my point is that I was totally blown away as to the caring team you have in the Four Seasons. I cannot stop telling everyone about my experience and showing the card from Simon Spiller and his great staff. I will be definitely staying at your hotel every visit I make to Vancouver in the future and recommending it to everyone here in the east.
Please pass on my thank you to everyone including the hotel lounge personnel. Over the top service!
