January 2006: Judy Waddell of Fairmont Waterfront Hotel

Dear Mr. Francis Parkinson:

I am writing this letter to let you know about the amazing guest service I received from one of your employees.

I arrived on Sunday, March 5th to unload for the Waterfront Playhouse Brunch event. It was approximately 8:30 am in the morning. In my journey, I broke off the heel to one of my boots. We had a booth in the ballroom and needed to begin setting up. Due to the fact that there were no stores open until noon, I was at a lost as to what I was going to do.

One of your employees, Judy Waddell, met our team at the loading dock. When I explained my situation to her she quickly asked what size my feet were. She then went and retrieved her own boots from her locker and gave them to me to wear. Over the course of the event, Judy was more than helpful, always smiling and very competent in her job set.

I am the Banquet Manager at the Tigh-Na-Mara Resort Spa and Conference Centre and I believe employees like her are a true asset to a company. In my opinion, for a staff member to lend a piece of clothing to a complete stranger is above and beyond.

Judy is what makes a guest’s experience and memory—and you are lucky to have her on your team.

With the warmest regards:
