My husband, our 14-year-old daughter, and I traveled from San Francisco to Vancouver on our own, without joining a tour group, so we could explore the city at our own pace. However, I can honestly say that we would not have enjoyed our trip nearly as much without Bernie.
 

During our stay, it rained four out of five days. We were incredibly lucky to meet Bernie at Canada Place, where she was the only person working at the counter. On our second day, we arrived at Canada Place close to 5:00 p.m., feeling lost and unsure whether we would still be able to catch a shuttle to see the Canyon Lights at Capilano Suspension Bridge.
 

Bernie was so kind and immediately offered to help. She not only assisted us in purchasing tickets to Capilano Suspension Bridge, but also provided clear directions on where to catch the shuttle and its schedule. Thanks to her, we were able to enjoy the Canyon Lights, which became a highlight of our trip.
 

On the third day, it was raining again, and we returned to Canada Place hoping to find transportation to Grouse Mountain. There was no shuttle service available, but Bernie was there once more. She patiently showed us how to get there by taking the SeaBus and Bus 236 instead.
 

We were incredibly fortunate to see snow and experience an early white Christmas once we arrived. This was our first time visiting Vancouver, and it turned out to be our best self-guided trip thanks to Bernie's help and care. Thank you, Bernie!
