During a milestone year celebrating a special birthday and a major wedding anniversary, a couple fulfilled a longtime dream of traveling with Rocky Mountaineer from Vancouver to Jasper and later from Lake Louise back to Vancouver. Train lovers who had previously only taken short rail trips in the United States, they found the journey especially meaningful and unique.

Their onboard host, Ese, made the experience unforgettable. After the couple repeatedly tried to purchase a Rocky Mountaineer baseball hat that had sold out, Ese quietly took it upon herself to help. She even attempted to deliver one to their hotel, Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, but discovered they had already checked out. Undeterred, she later mailed the hat to them. Her thoughtful effort and dedication left the couple deeply touched and eager to see her recognized as an exceptional employee.
